     123B.54 Debt service appropriation. 

    (a) $25,987,000 in fiscal year 2002, $29,941,000 in fiscal 
 year 2003, $40,075,000 in fiscal year 2004, and $39,774,000 in 
 fiscal years 2005 and later are appropriated from the general 
 fund to the commissioner of education for payment of debt 
 service equalization aid under section 123B.53.  

    (b) The appropriations in paragraph (a) must be reduced by 
 the amount of any money specifically appropriated for the same 
 purpose in any year from any state fund.
