     326.57 Water conditioning contractors and installers; 
  supervision by state commissioner of health. 

    Subdivision 1.  The state commissioner of health shall, by 
 rule, prescribe minimum standards which shall be uniform, and 
 which standards shall thereafter be effective for all new water 
 conditioning servicing and water conditioning installations, 
 including additions, extensions, alterations, and replacements 
 connected with any water or sewage disposal system owned or 
 operated by or for any municipality, institution, factory, 
 office building, hotel, apartment building or any other place of 
 business, regardless of location or the population of the city, 
 county or town in which located.  Such rules, upon approval of 
 the attorney general and their legal publication, shall have the 
 force of law, and the violation of any part thereof shall 
 constitute a misdemeanor and may be enjoined by the attorney 
 general. 

    Subd. 2.  The commissioner shall administer the provisions 
 of sections 326.57 to 326.65 and for such purposes may employ 
 water conditioning inspectors and other assistants.
