                  An act relating to transportation; requiring 
                  department of transportation specifications for 
                  underground storage tanks to include certain types of 
                  fiberglass and steel tanks; proposing coding for new 
                  law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 174. 
        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
           Section 1.  [174.19] [PETROLEUM STORAGE TANKS.] 
           Specifications issued by the commissioner of transportation 
        relating to the procurement of underground fuel storage tanks by 
        the department of transportation and used by the department must 
        be written in such a way that they include all types of 
        fiberglass and steel underground storage tanks that have been 
        approved by the Minnesota pollution control agency and the 
        United States Environmental Protection Agency for underground 
        storage of fuel, or meet the standards for tank approval 
        established by those agencies.
