                  An act relating to agriculture; limiting entry into 
                  facilities in which confined farm animals are kept; 
                  proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
                  chapter 17. 
        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
           Section 1.  [17.986] [ENTRY INTO FARM ANIMAL FACILITIES.] 
           No law enforcement, peace, or animal control officer may 
        enter a facility where confined farm animals are kept unless the 
        officer follows a procedure and directive for bio-security 
        measures that are identified by the commissioner of natural 
        resources and the board of animal health.  
           This section does not apply to emergency or exigent 
        circumstances.
