                            CHAPTER 473-H.F.No. 2666 
                  An act relating to local government; prohibiting the 
                  adoption of certain zoning ordinances by 
                  municipalities, counties, and towns; amending 
                  Minnesota Statutes 1992, sections 394.25, by adding a 
                  subdivision; and 462.357, by adding a subdivision; 
                  proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
                  chapter 366. 
        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
           Section 1.  [366.151] [CERTAIN ORDINANCES; MANUFACTURED 
        HOMES.] 
           A town board must not enact, amend, or enforce a zoning 
        ordinance that has the effect of altering the existing density, 
        lot-size requirements, or manufactured home setback requirements 
        in any manufactured home park constructed before January 1, 
        1995, if the manufactured home park, when constructed, complied 
        with the then existing density, lot-size and setback 
        requirements.  
           Sec. 2.  Minnesota Statutes 1992, section 394.25, is 
        amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
           Subd. 3a.  [CERTAIN ZONING ORDINANCES.] A county must not 
        enact, amend, or enforce a zoning ordinance that has the effect 
        of altering the existing density, lot-size requirements, or 
        manufactured home setback requirements in any manufactured home 
        park constructed before January 1, 1995, if the manufactured 
        home park, when constructed, complied with the then existing 
        density, lot-size and setback requirements.  
           Sec. 3.  Minnesota Statutes 1992, section 462.357, is 
        amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
           Subd. 1a.  [CERTAIN ZONING ORDINANCES.] A municipality must 
        not enact, amend, or enforce a zoning ordinance that has the 
        effect of altering the existing density, lot-size requirements, 
        or manufactured home setback requirements in any manufactured 
        home park constructed before January 1, 1995, if the 
        manufactured home park, when constructed, complied with the then 
        existing density, lot-size and setback requirements.
