                        CHAPTER 155-H.F.No. 1189 
           An act relating to counties; permitting counties to 
          spend money for broadcast facilities; amending 
          Minnesota Statutes 1990, section 375.164. 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
     Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1990, section 375.164, is 
amended to read: 
    375.164 [NONCOMMERCIAL BROADCAST FACILITIES AND TELEVISION 
TRANSLATOR STATIONS, CONSTRUCTION BY COUNTY.] 
    The county board may appropriate annually from the county 
general revenue fund an amount necessary to fund the 
construction, acquisition, improvement, operation, or 
maintenance of a translator station in the county or a 
noncommercial television broadcast facility to receive and 
transmit television broadcasting signals that can be received by 
residents of the county.
