relating to education; early childhood; appropriating money for the Way to Grow
home visiting early education pilot program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin WAY TO GROW HOME VISITING EARLY EDUCATION PILOT
PROGRAM.

new text begin $960,000 in fiscal year 2018 and $960,000 in fiscal year 2019 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of education for a grant to Way to Grow to implement an
intensive home visiting and high-quality early education pilot program in partnership with
New Horizon Academy. Up to three percent each year may be used for program evaluation.
