relating to education; allowing for completion of a nationally normed college
entrance exam as a high school graduation requirement; proposing coding for new
law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 120B.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin Upon approval of the state's accountability plan under the federal Every Student Succeeds
Act, the commissioner must replace the high school Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments
required for graduation with a nationally normed college entrance exam that is aligned with
the state academic standards and includes career and college readiness benchmarks.
