relating to state government; appropriating money for a grant to the Council on
Minnesotans of African Heritage.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; COUNCIL ON MINNESOTANS OF AFRICAN
HERITAGE.

$500,000 in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the general fund to the Council on
Minnesotans of African Heritage for a grant to support African cultural arts facility
assessment mapping, feasibility study, capacity building, and related planning for the
communities of Rochester, Mankato, St. Cloud, Moorhead, and Duluth. This is a onetime
appropriation.
