relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for two Dan Patch
statues.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; DAN PATCH STATUES.

new text begin $750,000 in fiscal year 2018 and $750,000 in fiscal year 2019 are appropriated from the
arts and cultural heritage fund to the commissioner of administration for a grant to
Springboard for the Arts to design and construct two statues of Dan Patch, one to be placed
in the Minnesota State Fairgrounds and one to be placed in Savage, Minnesota, to
commemorate the 110-year anniversary of the great horse's record-setting pace at the 1906
Minnesota State Fair.
