A bill for an act
relating to game and fish; prohibiting use of unmanned aircraft systems to take,
harm, or harass wild animals; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes,
chapter 97A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin (a) The definitions in this subdivision apply to this section.

new text begin (b) "Unmanned aircraft" means an aircraft that is operated without the possibility of
direct human intervention from within or on the aircraft.

new text begin (c) "Unmanned aircraft system" means an unmanned aircraft and associated elements,
including communication links and the components that control the unmanned aircraft, that
are required for the pilot in command to operate safely and efficiently in the national airspace
system.
