A bill for an act
 relating to economic development; appropriating money for the Rural Policy
and Development Center fund.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2008 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the Board
of Directors of the Rural Policy and Development Center for deposit into the Rural
Policy and Development Center fund under Minnesota Statutes, section 116J.422. This
appropriation does not cancel. This is a onetime appropriation and may not be included in
the agency's budget base.
