 relating to economic development; appropriating money for a grant to Minnesota
Sports and Events.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin MINNESOTA SPORTS AND EVENTS; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the director of Explore
Minnesota Tourism for a grant to Minnesota Sports and Events. Of this amount, $6,000,000
is for costs related to the World Junior Hockey Championships, which will occur in
Minnesota in December of 2025 and January of 2026. This appropriation is available until
June 30, 2029. The base amount in fiscal years 2026 and 2027 is $....... each year.
