relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a grant to Midway
Contemporary Art.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; MIDWAY CONTEMPORARY ART.

new text begin $5,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to Midway Contemporary Art to
design, construct, furnish, and equip renovation and upgrades of the organization's facilities
in the city of Minneapolis. This appropriation includes money for landscaping and other
site improvements and to retire debt incurred by the organization for acquisition of the
organization's facilities. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until the project is
completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
