A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money for firearms education.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; FIREARMS EDUCATION.

$....... in fiscal year 2024 and $....... in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from the general
fund to the commissioner of natural resources for a pilot project to develop curriculum and
instruction on using firearms and to provide the curriculum and instruction to school districts
at no charge. The curriculum must address:

(1) basics of firearm safety;

(2) responsible use of firearms; and

(3) respect for life.
