A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a Special Guerrilla Units
Veterans and Families museum.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; SPECIAL GUERRILLA UNITS VETERANS AND
FAMILIES MUSEUM.

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of administration for a grant to the Special Guerrilla Units (SGU) Veterans and Families of
the United States of America, to acquire property for and to predesign, design, construct,
furnish, and equip a museum in the city of St. Paul of SGU veterans' relics, artifacts, and
history for educational efforts to teach the public about the history and cultural heritage of
the Hmong in Minnesota. This appropriation is available until the project is completed or
abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642. This is a onetime appropriation.
