A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money to recruit and hire enforcement
liaison community officer program positions.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES.

$420,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $420,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of natural resources to recruit and hire at least two
conservation officers for the enforcement liaison community officer program. The
conservation officers must be fluent in a native language of one or more Southeast Asian
communities present in the state.
