A bill for an act
relating to transportation; appropriating money for a realignment of County Road
19A and 100th Street South in the city of Cottage Grove; making the appropriation
contingent on other funding.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CONTINGENT APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $12,500,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for a grant to the city of Cottage Grove for predesign, design, right-of-way
acquisition, and construction of (1) a realignment of County Road 19A and 100th Street
South, and (2) a connection between the newly realigned 100th Street South and U.S.
Highway 10. This project includes construction of a bridge over an adjacent railroad track
and construction of multiuse trails along the roadway. This appropriation is contingent upon
the award or appropriation of an equal amount for this purpose under the Metropolitan
Council regional solicitation process or any other federal funding. This is a onetime
appropriation and is available until June 30, 2025.
