A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a regional behavioral health
crisis facility in Duluth; canceling a prior appropriation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

FACILITY.

$1,638,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of human services for a grant to the Human Development Center to construct, furnish, and
equip renovation of property located at 532 East 1st Street in the city of Duluth for a regional
behavioral health crisis facility. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until the
project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.

Sec. 2. new text begin CANCELLATION; BOND SALE AUTHORIZATION REDUCTION.

The unobligated amount remaining from the appropriation in Laws 2020, Fifth Special
Session chapter 3, article 1, section 18, subdivision 7, is canceled. The bond sale authorization
in Laws 2020, First Special Session chapter 3, article 1, section 26, subdivision 1, is reduced
by the same amount.
