A bill for an act
 relating to workforce development; appropriating money for workforce development
in the fields of construction, clean energy, and energy efficiency.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CLEAN ECONOMY EQUITABLE WORKFORCE GRANT PROGRAM;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for
a clean economy equitable workforce grant program to give grants to preapprenticeship,
career development, and workforce readiness programs aimed at Black, Indigenous, and
People of Color workers that prepare them for careers in the high-demand fields of
construction, clean energy, and energy efficiency.
