A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for an Asian American arts
center in the city of St. Paul.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; ASIAN AMERICAN CENTER FOR MEDIA AND
THE ARTS.

new text begin $2,600,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Asian American Center for
Media and the Arts, to acquire property for and to predesign and design an arts center in
the city of St. Paul. This appropriation is onetime and is available until the project is
completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
