A bill for an act
relating to elections; providing that the eligibility requirements for voting apply
to federal, state, and local elections and may not be modified by local ordinance
or charter provision unless expressly authorized by the Minnesota Constitution or
other applicable law; amending Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 201.014, by
adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 201.014, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

provided by this section and by the Minnesota Constitution, article VII, section 1, apply to
all federal, state, and local elections conducted in this state and may not be modified by

Constitution or other applicable law.
