A bill for an act
 relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for the Great Northern
Festival.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; GREAT NORTHERN FESTIVAL.

new text begin $250,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $250,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from the
arts and cultural heritage fund to the commissioner of administration for a grant to support
the Great Northern Festival, which connects attendees to parks, precious outdoor spaces,
and cultural venues through a ten-day festival, encouraging them to experience the arts and
culture that our cold, creative Minnesota winters cultivate; investing deeply in artists and
new art; and spotlighting leadership in climate action.
