A bill for an act
 relating to workforce development; appropriating money to the Minnesota
Association of Workforce Boards.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin MINNESOTA ASSOCIATION OF WORKFORCE BOARDS;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $20,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Minnesota Association of
Workforce Boards to provide funding to workforce boards statewide for improved services
at CareerForce locations, outreach to potential jobseekers, targeted supports for underserved
populations, and other local strategies for addressing workforce shortages. This is a onetime
appropriation.
