relating to workforce development; appropriating money for hiring and training
children's mental health therapists and for the pathways program at Washburn
Center for Children.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin THERAPISTS AT WASHBURN CENTER FOR CHILDREN;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Washburn Center for Children
to train and hire 40 additional children's mental health therapists through 2022. This is a
onetime appropriation and is available until June 30, 2023.

Sec. 2. new text begin PATHWAYS PROGRAM AT WASHBURN CENTER FOR CHILDREN;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $400,000 in fiscal year 2020 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the pathways program at the
Washburn Center for Children to create 40 paid clinical fellowships for masters and doctorate
level professionals of color in children's mental health treatment through June 2023. This
is a onetime appropriation and is available until June 30, 2023.
