A bill for an act
 relating to local government aid; modifying provisions on aid for certain
transportation wetlands; amending Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 477A.11,
subdivision 7.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 477A.11, subdivision 7, is amended to read:


Subd. 7.

Transportation wetland.

"Transportation wetland" means land administered
by the Department of Transportationnew text begin, or by a political subdivision to which the department
transferred fee title to the land,new text end in which the state acquired, by purchase from a private
owner, a fee title interest in over 500 acres of land within a county to replace wetland losses
from transportation projects.
