A bill for an act
 relating to local government; authorizing Carlton County to levy a tax for
recreation purposes; amending Laws 1996, chapter 471, article 3, section 51.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Laws 1996, chapter 471, article 3, section 51, is amended to read:


Sec. 51. RECREATION LEVY FOR SAWYER BY CARLTON COUNTY.

Notwithstanding other law to the contrary, the
Carlton county board of commissioners may levy in and for the unorganized township of
