A bill for an act
relating to employment; appropriating money for employment support services
to persons with mental illness.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text beginAPPROPRIATION; EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT SERVICES TO
PERSONS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS.

new text begin $2,500,000 in fiscal year 2016 and $2,500,000 in fiscal year 2017 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for
grants to programs that provide employment support services to persons with mental illness
under Minnesota Statutes, sections 268A.13 and 268A.14. Of this amount, $1,500,000
each year is for program expansion and shall be prioritized first to expanding the program
to areas of the state without an existing program, and then to expanding existing programs.
