1.2relating to the military; appropriating money for grants to various military-related
1.3organizations.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.
1.6(a) $200,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2016 from the general fund to the adjutant
1.7general of military affairs for a grant to the Minnesota Navy League to support activities
1.8related to the commissioning of the USS Minnesota. The grant shall be provided upon
1.9the condition that each state-appropriated dollar be matched with a private sector dollar.
1.10The Minnesota Navy League shall certify to the adjutant general by June 1, 2015, the
1.11amount of private sector funds raised to support the commissioning of the USS Minnesota.
1.12Acceptable matching funds are private sector contributions that the Minnesota Navy
1.13League has received and that have not been used to match any other state grant.
1.14(b) $200,000 in fiscal year 2016 is appropriated from the general fund to the
1.15adjutant general of military affairs for a grant to the United States Department of the
1.16Army Emergency Relief program.
1.17(c) $200,000 in fiscal year 2016 is appropriated from the general fund to the adjutant
1.18general of military affairs for a grant to the United States Air Force Aid Society.
1.19(d) $200,000 in fiscal year 2016 is appropriated from the general fund to the
1.20adjutant general of military affairs for a grant to the United States Coast Guard Mutual
1.21Relief Society.
1.22(e) $200,000 in fiscal year 2016 is appropriated from the general fund to the adjutant
1.23general of military affairs for a grant to the United States Marine Corps Semper Fi fund.
