A bill for an act
relating to state lands; requiring commissioner of natural resources to sell lands
with agricultural leases.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SALE OF AGRICULTURAL LEASED LANDS.

new text begin Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the commissioner of natural
resources shall sell all state-owned lands with active agricultural leases, including any
mineral rights unless prohibited under the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, section 10.
The lands are described in the document titled "Active Agricultural Leases on DNR
Lands," Department of Natural Resources, Land and Minerals Division, dated December
31, 2008, and total 8,278 acres.
