well owners.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin SAFETY EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR PRIVATE WELL OWNERS;
APPROPRIATION.

$....... in fiscal year 2021 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of
health to develop a program to educate private well owners of the potential health risks
associated with local aquifers, different well designs, and the age of wells and to provide
information on cost-effective strategies to monitor and address those potential risks. This
is a onetime appropriation.
