relating to clean water; appropriating money for specialized agricultural equipment.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; SHARED AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT.

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2021 is appropriated from the clean water fund to the Board
of Water and Soil Resources for grants to soil and water conservation districts to purchase
specialized agricultural equipment to be used by or on behalf of private landowners to
implement conservation practices on farms, such as conservation tillage and interseeding
cover crops, that promote soil health; protect pollinator and other wildlife habitat; and
provide other environmental benefits that protect, enhance, and restore water quality in
lakes, rivers, and streams and protect groundwater from degradation.
