A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Scott County open
library project at the Savage Public Library.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SCOTT COUNTY; OPEN LIBRARY PROJECT AT SAVAGE PUBLIC
LIBRARY.

new text begin $59,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of education for a
grant to Scott County to predesign, design, construct, and install two service desks with
security grill and a security curtain in the Savage Public Library to enable public access to
the library when staff is not present. This appropriation is not available until the commissioner
of management and budget determines that at least an equal amount has been committed
from nonstate sources to complete the project.
