A bill for an act
relating to education; requiring school boards to publish certain information about
consulting fees; amending Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 123B.10, by adding
a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 123B.10, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin The board must also publish at the same time and in a
conspicuous place on the district's official website a summary of consulting fees for
professional services, consistent with the uniform financial accounting and reporting
standards. The summary must provide the name of each consultant or consulting firm, the
contract amount, and a description of the services provided by the consultant.
