1.1A Senate resolution
1.2recognizing Dave Palmquist for his 25 years of coaching girls' hockey.
1.3WHEREAS, those who display an exceptional commitment to excellence in the development
1.4of our young people are deserving of special legislative recognition; and
1.5WHEREAS, Dave Palmquist was a founder of South St. Paul's girls' hockey program, leading
1.6his team to participate in the first girls' state hockey tournament in the nation; and
1.7WHEREAS, he has since led his team to over 500 wins, including an 86-game undefeated
1.8streak and a number of state titles; and
1.9WHEREAS, the South St. Paul Packers are currently ranked fourth in the state; and
1.10WHEREAS, Dave credits the success of the team to the work ethic of the players, describing
1.11them as hardworking and relentless with a never-give-up attitude; and
1.12NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.13congratulates Dave Palmquist on a successful 25 years of coaching in South St. Paul and extends
1.14warm wishes for his future endeavors.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.16enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.17Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Dave Palmquist.
