1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring the United States National Defense Force Support Command.
1.3WHEREAS, the United States National Defense Force Support Command was established
1.4under the former United States President Ronald Reagan National Security Decision Directive
1.5Number 259, United States Code, title 32, section 109; and
1.6WHEREAS, the mission of the United States National Defense Force Support Command is
1.7to serve communities; save American citizens' lives from disastrous emergencies such as floods,
1.8fires, earthquakes, and hurricanes; and protect our nation from terrorist threats; and
1.9WHEREAS, the duty of the United States National Defense Force Support Command is to
1.10provide Honor Guard, Color Guard, and Final Honor Services to our fallen veterans who bravely
1.11fought to defend our homeland; and
1.12NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.13recognizes that the United States National Defense Force Support Command is an Active Duty
1.14Civil Military Volunteer Services Branch, which serves the Hmong communities and American
1.15veterans in the United States of America.
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.17enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.18Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the United States
1.19National Defense Force Support Command.
