1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring the Nation of Patriots.
1.3WHEREAS, our country's military - past, present, and fallen - need to be remembered,
1.4recognized, and honored for their sacrifices for our freedom; and
1.5WHEREAS, the Nation of Patriots has initiated a nationwide effort in which one United
1.6States flag will travel throughout the country for 100 days, in honor and respect of all United States
1.7services members; and
1.8WHEREAS, on Thursday, May 24, 2018, the Honor Guard, comprised of veterans from the
1.9American Legion Post 56, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Albert Lea Armory, will receive the
1.10flag and fold it for display; and
1.11WHEREAS, on Friday, May 25, 2018, riders from the Albert Lea area will gather and escort
1.12the flag to its next scheduled stop in Delano; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates the Nation of Patriots for realizing the importance of recognizing our country's heroes
1.15- the mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters - who have bravely gone into combat, putting their lives
1.16in danger so that each of us can experience another day of freedom.
1.17BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.18enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.19Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the Nation of Patriots.
