1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Braham Area Elementary School for being selected as a Minnesota
1.3School of Excellence.
1.4WHEREAS, Minnesota has traditionally led the nation in quality education, renowned for
1.5its continual commitment, progressive methods, and successful results; and
1.6WHEREAS, the Minnesota Elementary School Principals' Association is honoring eight
1.7schools that have shown superiority of organization, leadership, curriculum instruction, student
1.8outcomes, character development, school climate, and school and community relationships; and
1.9WHEREAS, the Minnesota School of Excellence program involves a program of self-study,
1.10development of a school improvement plan, and implementation of the plan based on demonstrated
1.11results; and
1.12WHEREAS, an all-day celebration will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14commends the staff, students, parents, and community for their efforts to make Braham Area
1.15Elementary School a Minnesota School of Excellence.
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.17enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.18Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Principal Jeff Eklund
1.19of Braham Area Elementary School.
