1.2recognizing Gardonville Cooperative Telephone Association of Brandon &
1.3Alexandria, Minnesota.
1.4WHEREAS, Gardonville Cooperative Telephone Association of Brandon & Alexandria
1.5is committed to providing state-of-the-art telecommunications technology and services to the
1.6residents and business of west central Minnesota; and
1.7WHEREAS, the focus of organizational leadership to work in collaboration with team
1.8members, customers, businesses, and the communities to create and strengthen all aspects of their
1.9products and services serves as an excellent example of organizational commitment to regional
1.10success in greater Minnesota; and
1.11WHEREAS, the commitment of Gardonville to its employees in the payment of a healthy
1.12living wage, along with the organization's history of providing financial assistance to new and
1.13existing businesses helps to strengthen the local, regional, and statewide economies and serves as
1.14a catalyst for economic success throughout the state of Minnesota; and
1.15WHEREAS, the Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission and the Alexandria
1.16Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce are recognizing Gardonville for its significant investment
1.17and involvement in the Brandon and Alexandria areas in the creation of jobs, wages, and wealth
1.18throughout west central Minnesota; NOW, THEREFORE,
1.19BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it recognizes and
1.20congratulates Gardonville Cooperative Telephone Association for its contributions to the people
1.21of the Brandon and Alexandria areas, the west central region, and to the entire state of Minnesota.
1.22BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare
1.23an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the secretary's signature and that of
2.1the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Gardonville
2.2Cooperative Telephone Association.
