1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Adam Seward of Chanhassen, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America;
1.4and
1.5WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement that
1.6is worthy of recognition; and
1.7WHEREAS, Adam Seward is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 330 and has
1.8displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.9WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a community
1.10service project, which involved installing park benches along Rice Lake Marsh walking trail in
1.11Chanhassen and took six months and over 100 working hours; and
1.12WHEREAS, he earned his Eagle Scout ranking on August 13, 2017, and an Eagle Court of
1.13Honor was held on September 26, 2017, at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Chanhassen; and
1.14NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.15congratulates Adam Seward of Chanhassen, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.17copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.18Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Adam Seward.
