1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring the St. Michael Fire Department on their 100th anniversary.
1.3WHEREAS, those civic-minded organizations who work tirelessly in their communities to
1.4protect the public's safety and well-being perform an important service deserving of special legislative
1.5recognition; and
1.6WHEREAS, the St. Michael Fire Department officially turns 100 this month, and while the
1.7equipment, technology, schooling, and training has changed over the years, the love and dedication
1.8of the firefighters to each other and to their community has always been strong; and
1.9WHEREAS, the St. Michael Fire Department included the entire community in its 100th
1.10anniversary celebration which took place on September 23, 2017, at the Daze and Knights Festival
1.11grounds with free live music and entertainment; and
1.12NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.13congratulates the St. Michael Fire Department on their 100th anniversary.
1.14BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.15enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.16Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the St. Michael Fire
1.17Department.
