1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating the Granada-Huntley-East Chain School District on its 100
1.3percent high school graduation rate.
1.4WHEREAS, Minnesota has traditionally led the nation in quality education, renowned for
1.5its continual commitment, progressive methods, and successful results; and
1.6WHEREAS, the state's best schools have shown superior organization, leadership, curriculum
1.7instruction, student outcomes, character development, school climate, and school and community
1.8relationships; and
1.9WHEREAS, the state has set a goal of a 90 percent high school graduation rate by 2020;
1.10and
1.11WHEREAS, the Granada-Huntley-East Chain School District now has a 100 percent high
1.12school graduation rate, exceeding the state goal of 90 percent and the state average of 82.7 percent;
1.13and
1.14NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.15commends the administration, staff, students, and parents at the Granada-Huntley-East Chain School
1.16District for their efforts in attaining a 100 percent high school graduation rate.
1.17BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.18enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.19Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the board of the
1.20Granada-Huntley-East Chain School District.
