1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Charles Aasen of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, for receiving
1.3the Eagle Award.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.5WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement
1.6that is worthy of recognition; and
1.7WHEREAS, Charles Aasen is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and has displayed
1.8the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.9WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a
1.10community service project, which involved a conservation effort in conjunction with the Monarch
1.11Lab at the University of Minnesota to help the declining population of monarch butterflies; and
1.12WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates Charles Aasen of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.16copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.17Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Charles Aasen.
