1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating James Dionysus Harrington of Coon Rapids for receiving
1.3the Eagle Award.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.5WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement
1.6that is worthy of recognition; and
1.7WHEREAS, James Dionysus Harrington is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop
1.8415 and has displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.9WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and has completed all
1.10requirements necessary to attain the rank of Eagle, including his community service project
1.11of leading a group of scouts in improving underground drainage at Grace Lutheran Church in
1.12Andover, in addition to building a butterfly garden for the church's child care center; and
1.13WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor was held on November 20, 2013, in recognition
1.14of James Dionysus Harrington; and
1.15NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.16congratulates James Dionysus Harrington for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.17BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.18enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair
1.19of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to James Dionysus Harrington.
