1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Zachery D. Nordine of Stephen-Argyle, Minnesota, for
1.3receiving the Eagle Award.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America;
1.5and
1.6WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement that
1.7is worthy of recognition; and
1.8WHEREAS, Zachery D. Nordine is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 50 and has
1.9displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member, including holding leadership positions
1.10of senior patrol leader, Order of the Arrow Troop Representative, and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster;
1.11and
1.12WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a community
1.13service project, which involved coordinating a work crew to construct a manger for Assumption
1.14Church using rough lumber from the barn of his great-great-great-grandfather, Albert Kuznia; and
1.15WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held; and
1.16NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.17congratulates Zachery D. Nordine of Stephen-Argyle, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.18BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.19copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.20Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Zachery D. Nordine.
