1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating the Plainview-Elgin-Millville High School boys basketball
1.3 team on winning the 2012 State High School Class AA boys basketball
1.4championship.
1.5WHEREAS, competitive sports in our high schools are helpful in teaching the principles of
1.6sportsmanship and fair play, thereby contributing to better citizenship; and
1.7WHEREAS, the Plainview-Elgin-Millville basketball team participated in the 2012 State
1.8High School Class AA boys basketball tournament on March 21-24, 2012, at the Target Center
1.9in Minneapolis; and
1.10WHEREAS, they defeated the Litchfield Dragons 55 to 39 in the final game of the
1.11tournament to win the state championship; and
1.12WHEREAS, the Bulldogs finished the regular season with an outstanding 27 - 6 record; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.14congratulations are extended to the members of the Plainview-Elgin-Millville High School boys
1.15basketball team for their sportsmanship and skill.
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare
1.17an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of
1.18the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the principal of
1.19Plainview-Elgin-Millville High School.
