1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring Brandt Companies, the 2015 Delano Area Business of the Year.
1.3WHEREAS, located in Delano since 1997, Brandt Companies is a Minnesota business
1.4with a worldwide reputation for precision manufacturing; and
1.5WHEREAS, Brandt Companies' Calbrandt division produces railcar handling equipment,
1.6from raw materials to finished products, and supplies railcar systems in the United States, Canada,
1.7Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and Russia; and
1.8WHEREAS, the Brandt Automation division designs and builds custom automation
1.9equipment, forging new frontiers in manufacturing through innovation in robotics, control, and
1.10assembly; and
1.11WHEREAS, Brandt Companies founder Calvin Brandt prides himself on his company's
1.12role in the Delano community and credits his employees with responsibility for Brandt
1.13Companies' success; and
1.14WHEREAS, in recognition of excellence in both product and process, the Delano Area
1.15Chamber of Commerce has named Brandt Companies its Business of the Year for 2015; and
1.16NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.17it acknowledges Brandt Companies for sustained superiority in specialized manufacturing and
1.18congratulates it on being named Delano Area Chamber of Commerce 2015 Business of the Year.
1.19BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.20enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.21Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Calvin Brandt.
