1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring the memory of Julie Campbell of the Office of the Revisor of Statutes. 1.3WHEREAS, Julie Campbell was a drafting and editing assistant in the Revisor's Office since 1.41988 and witnessed many changes at the state legislature; and 1.5WHEREAS, Julie was a hard worker, very proficient at her job, and very well liked; and 1.6WHEREAS, she spent countless hours on the house floor working on amendments back in 1.7the days before prefiling of amendments, and was a resolution writer for many years; and 1.8WHEREAS, no matter how demanding the work at the legislature was, she always took 1.9things in stride and never complained; and 1.10WHEREAS, a quiet and kind person with an incredible work ethic, Julie was an excellent 1.11mentor and resource to new employees in the Revisor's Office; and 1.12WHEREAS, she was an extremely dedicated and conscientious individual, a terrific coworker 1.13and asset to the legislature, and a model employee; and 1.14WHEREAS, Julie was also a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and baker who regularly 1.15brought treats to the office; and 1.16WHEREAS, in spite of her failing health, she continued to come into work during the 2019 1.17legislative session until her illness forced her to take a leave of absence. Sadly, Julie passed away 1.18on the morning of May 5, 2019; and 1.19NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it 1.20honors Julie Campbell on her 30 years of dedicated service to the legislature and extends deepest 1.21condolences to her family, friends, coworkers, and all who knew her. 1.22BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an 1.23enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the 2.1Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the family of Julie 2.2Campbell.
