1.1A Senate resolution
1.2relating to the establishment of the Select Committee on Home Ownership Affordability
1.3and Availability.
1.4BE IT RESOLVED, by the Senate of the State of Minnesota:
1.5Pursuant to Mason's Manual of Legislative Procedure, Sections 639 to 645, the Select
1.6Committee on Home Ownership Affordability and Availability is established to make findings and
1.7recommendations to the Senate regarding issues affecting the availability of affordable
1.8owner-occupied housing. The Select Committee has no other authority with respect to the
1.9consideration of bills, and bills may not be referred to the Select Committee. The Select Committee
1.10shall consist of five members of the Senate, with three members appointed by the majority leader
1.11and two members appointed by the minority leader. The appointments must be completed by July
1.121, 2019, and the majority leader shall designate the chair of the Select Committee from its
1.13membership.
1.14The Select Committee shall be dissolved upon the adjournment sine die of the 2020 Senate,
1.1591st Session.
