1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating the DeLaSalle High School boys basketball team on winning the State
1.3High School Class AAA boys basketball championship.
1.4WHEREAS, competitive sports in our high schools are helpful in teaching the principles of
1.5sportsmanship and fair play, thereby contributing to better citizenship; and
1.6WHEREAS, the DeLaSalle basketball team participated in the State High School Class
1.7AAA boys basketball tournament; and
1.8WHEREAS, they defeated Waseca 63-56 in the final game of the tournament to win the
1.9state championship; and
1.10WHEREAS, the team finished the regular season with an outstanding record; and
1.11NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.12congratulations are extended to the members of the DeLaSalle High School boys basketball team
1.13for their sportsmanship and skill.
1.14BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.15enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.16Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the principal of
1.17DeLaSalle High School.
